I’m Bandana (Bun-the-nah)
Lead Design Strategist and Researcher
I’m based in Toronto (EST), and my specialty is ensuring every stakeholder is heard and embraced as themselves in creative, innovation and design projects. I particularly love high ambiguity projects, as I have extensive experience leading strategy, research, alpha prototyping (0 ->1) through to implementation.
“Design is now in the center of every experience we have as citizens and consumers. It’s incredibly important to me that as leaders building the near future, we center the needs and experiences of the people we truly serve in our approaches and solutions.“
Bandana has 10+ years of experience across culture, art, media and design working with corporations and non-profits, producing strategies, services, programs experiences, and products across Canada and the US.
Although she works in research and strategy, Bandana has a long history in cultural production across television, music and culture, which really helps her transform research insights into truly actionable plans that are realistic while still being expansive.
Bandana holds a Masters from Parson’s College of Design in Strategic Design & Management with a President’s Scholarship. She is also a working artist and has been awarded an OAC Chalmers Fellow for her original research in Punk Diaspora, as well as being Banff Centre Alumni. Bandana also holds a B.A from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) Radio & Television Arts as a Millennial Laureate. Toronto is Bandana’s homebase, however she travels extensively for client engagements.
The Cultivation Of (Creative & Design Practices) has both CGL and E&O insurance.
